That moment when you hear your oldest daughter uncharacteristically cry hysterically in the middle of the night. When hubby goes in to investigate why Caira was so upset, he finds our youngest daughter had climbed out of her crib and found her way into her big sister’s bed.
Okay, I get it…
If I woke up in the middle of the night and found someone in my bed, I would probably freak out too! My husband said when he walked in, our youngest was SUPER content in the ‘big girl bed’…. And somehow found her way on the inside too?!?
Our next question…
How on earth did she get there? We dropped Quinn’s crib mattress onto the floor a few months ago. The top of the crib is pretty high. Hubby and I were even questioning each other if we moved her in the middle of the night. Now, Quinn’s motor skills are quite advanced. She probably just spider monkey’d her way out. Oh, Quinny Bear- Always keeping us on our toes!
When we all woke up at 7am, Quinn was still in big sister’s bed, lol! Looks like I need to come to terms with the fact that the toddler bed is in our near future! If I could send my kids to college in a crib, I would so this realization is hard for me to grasp. Ugh- My baby is growing up and I am about to get rid of the crib forever. This is harder for me then I thought.
I guess I should think it is cute that little sister loves big sister so much that she NEEDED to snuggle with her, haha!
Welp, I am going in to bedtime tonight prepared. Throwing some socks on my little spider monkey girl and putting a trundle mattress on the ground JUST in case she escapes again, lol! My goodness- the life we lead as mama’s.
